Talks on climate change held in Valencia and Castellón

The Casa de la Ciència of the Centro Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) in Valencia has announced a series of conferences entitled “The many faces of climate change” as part of its programme “What do we know about…? This series, which will take place every Thursday in January and February in Valencia and Castellón, promises to be a valuable and timely source of information on one of the most pressing issues of our time.
The talks, which will take place at 19:00, will also be available on the YouTube channel of the Casa de la Ciencia CSIC in Valencia, allowing a wider audience to access this important content. In addition, the lectures will be recorded for later viewing.
Two talks in particular stand out for their relevance and content to ThinkInAzul:
25 January, 19:00: Climate change in the marine environment: 20 years of study in the Columbretes Islands
Dr Diego Kersting, from the Instituto de Acuicultura Torre de la Sal, CSIC, will talk about the situation of the Columbretes Islands archipelago and the protection of its marine reserve.
The lecture will take place at El Menador, espai cultural, Hort dels Corders, 4 – Castelló de la Plana.
1 February, 19:00: Wind, the forgotten element of the climate system.
Dr Cesar Azorín, from the Desertification Research Centre, CSIC-UV-GVA, which is also part of the project in WP1, will explore the role of wind in socio-economic development and its environmental impact.
This lecture will take place at the Casa de la Ciencia del CSIC, Calle Bailia, 1 – València.
This series offers a unique opportunity to reflect on climate change and its impact on different aspects of our environment, from the marine environment to the climate system as a whole. These are essential events for anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of this important issue and its relevance today.
