Group UPV5

Universitat Politècnica de València

The research group is formed by a multidisciplinary team of researchers with a wide professional background, belonging to three groups of the UPV and one group of the UV: FISH (Food Innovation, Sustainability and Health) of the IIA-FoodUPV, NANOSENS of the IDM, NTC (Nanophotonic Technology Center) and CLECEM (Liquid Chromatography, Capillary Electrophoresis and Mass Spectrometry Group) of the UV.
The main lines of research associated with these four groups are:
– Analysis and optimization of processes and new food products.
– Consumer studies.
– Development of antimicrobial systems.
– Improvement of bioavailability of active substances by controlled release through the use of molecular gates.
– Materials for controlled release and detection based on molecular gates and organic boxes.
– Functional surfaces.
– Development of sensors based on interaction with light for food, health and environmental control applications.
– Development of integrated photonic circuits in silicon technology.
– Micro and nanofabrication of devices and materials.
– Characterization of materials (FTIR, Raman, ellipsometry, SEM…).
– Development of new systems based on sustainable supports and selective functional materials for application in sample treatment, separation and sensing, in the environmental and food fields.
