The research carried out in the FISH INTAKE CONTROL research group of the Torre la Sal Aquaculture Institute focuses on the characterisation and regulation of the neural systems involved in the regulation of intake and energy balance in fish. Our aim is to deepen the understanding of the main regulatory aspects: homeostatic, hedonic and temporal and how the different systems dialogue and integrate peripheral information (environmental and physiological) to generate a unified response, the feeding behaviour.
