The European Aquaculture Conference AE2025VAL is Gearing Up

After years of dedicated effort and substantial human and financial investment, the highly anticipated European Aquaculture Conference AE2025VAL is approaching, set to take place this September. The event has been made possible not only through the work of EAS and IATS-CSIC but also with the participation and support of APROMAR, the Generalitat Valenciana, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of Spain. Additionally, local committee members such as PTEPA, SEA, misPeces, and several universities (UA, UPV, UV, UCV) involved in the ThinkInAzul Marine Science Program of the Valencian Community have played a crucial role.

This conference will bring together key players from industry, academia, administration, and policy to discuss and exchange ideas, create connections, foster synergies, and explore cutting-edge technologies driving sustainable aquaculture. It offers an exceptional opportunity for academic and professional growth for various profiles: students, researchers, businesses, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.

The conference program covers a broad spectrum of topics. Emerging challenges such as microplastics, biosecurity, and precision technologies involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) will be addressed. Central themes will include reproduction, genetics, alternative nutritional ingredients, biodiversity, health management, and sustainable aquaculture practices, all explored through presentations and discussions.

For those interested in attending, there are several key dates:

  • Abstract submission deadline: May 1, 2025, for those wishing to present their work.
  • Early registration deadline: July 15, 2025.
  • General registration deadline: September 15, 2025, one week before the conference begins.
