GVA-ThinkInAzul participates in CONIPESCA 2024

The XVII National Congress of Fisheries Engineering and the X International Congress of Fisheries Engineering – CONIPESCA 2024 , were held from September 24 to 27, 2024 in the city of Tumbes, Peru, with the participation of experts both in person and virtually.

CONIPESCA is recognized as the most important event in the field of fisheries engineering in Peru, bringing together key professionals in the sector. It was organized by the College of Engineers of Peru, consolidating once again as a fundamental meeting point for discussion and progress in fisheries research.

In this edition, one of our PhD students, César Abram Cruz Castellón, member of the CSIC2 and UPV4 groups, participated virtually with the presentation of his research entitled: “Gene therapy with gonadotrophin plasmids triggers gametogenesis in the European eel (Anguilla anguilla)”. This work was carried out in collaboration with Cinta Zapater, Marina Morini, Thales S. França, Luz Pérez, Juan F. Asturiano and Ana Gómez.

In addition, the event was attended by María Jesús Pagán (UPV8), who was an invited speaker, and Luis Miret (UPV7), who presented an oral communication.
