This research group focuses its research on the blue economy and, specifically, on the socioeconomic analysis of the fishing and aquaculture sectors. This specific project aims to study and provide solutions to the problem of generational change in the Valencian fishing sector. They also play a key role in work package 7.  Blue Economy, aquaculture-marine environment interaction, citizen science

 The research group is made up of various economists and sociologists from the University of the Basque Country (UPV) who have been working with the fishing sector and administration for years. In this regard, they direct various research and transfer projects, are part of various national and international networks, and have published in leading journals in the sector. Specifically, the research group consists of Luis Miret, Roberto Cervelló, Paloma Herrera, and Josep Pons.
