UPV5 Group

Polytechnic University of Valencia

The research group is made up of a multidisciplinary team of researchers with extensive professional experience, belonging to three groups at the UPV and one group at the UV: FISH (Food Innovation, Sustainability and Health) from the IIA-FoodUPV, NANOSENS from the IDM, NTC (Nanophotonic Technology Center) and CLECEM (Liquid Chromatography, Capillary Electrophoresis and Mass Spectrometry Group) from the UV.
The main lines of research associated with these four groups are:
– Analysis and optimization of processes and new food products.
– Consumer studies.
– Development of antimicrobial systems.
– Improved bioavailability of active ingredients through controlled release using molecular gates.
– Materials for controlled release and detection based on molecular gates and organic boxes.
– Functional surfaces.
– Development of light-based sensors for food, health, and environmental monitoring applications.
– Development of integrated photonic circuits in silicon technology.
– Micro and nanofabrication of devices and materials.
– Materials characterization (FTIR, Raman, ellipsometry, SEM…).
– Development of new systems based on sustainable supports and selective functional materials for use in sample processing, separation, and sensing in the environmental and food sectors.
