Catholic University of Valencia-San Vicente Mártir

Multidisciplinary research group in the field of coastal oceanography. It consists of six teaching and research staff members affiliated with the University Institute for Research in Environment and Marine Science (IMEDMAR-UCV) of the Catholic University of Valencia. They are also lecturers in the degree program in marine sciences (oceanography, biology, zoology, botany, and marine ecology), and a predoctoral researcher hired for this project. 

 

In addition, other researchers hired by IMEDMAR-UCV and technical staff with extensive experience in marine environment projects and studies are participating. The members of this group have participated in more than 40 competitive research projects and over XNUMX contracts and agreements with public administrations and companies.

 

They are also currently leading the LIFE20-NAT/ES/001265 project on mother-of-pearl conservation (Pinna nobilis). They have extensive experience monitoring the seabed of the Valencian Community, both in Marine Protected Areas and marine SCI zones.

 

 

The IMEDMAR technical team is made up of graduates with nautical and professional diving qualifications, with extensive experience in the handling and care of marine species, data analysis, project management, and scientific communication.
