Training, outreach, and dissemination of the marine environment have been considered a cross-cutting focus of the group's research. All team members are affiliated with the Department of Marine Sciences and Applied Biology and the Santa Pola Marine Research Center (CIMAR).
Team members have participated in numerous regional, national, European, and international projects, and have worked in the marine field from various institutions, especially in invertebrates and biodiversity assessment.
