Multidisciplinary research group in the field of coastal oceanography. It is formed by 6 PDIs attached to the University Institute for Research in Environment and Marine Science (IMEDMAR-UCV) of the Catholic University of Valencia, in turn teachers in the degree in marine sciences (Oceanography, Biology, Zoology, Botany and Marine Ecology) and a predoctoral researcher hired for this project. In addition, other researchers hired at IMEDMAR-UCV and technical staff with extensive experience in projects and studies in the marine environment also participate in this project. The members of this group have participated in more than 40 competitive research projects and more than a hundred contracts and agreements with public administrations or companies. They are also currently leading the LIFE20-NAT/ES/001265 project on the conservation of the nacre (Pinna nobilis). They have extensive experience in monitoring the seabed of the Valencian Community in both Marine Protected Areas and marine SCI areas.

IMEDMAR’s technical team is formed by graduates with nautical qualifications and professional diving, with extensive experience in the management and care of marine species, data analysis, project management and scientific communication.
