From May 27 to 30, 2025, the city of Barcelona will host the Third International Symposium on Epigenetics in Marine and Aquatic Research (EPIMAR2025)., an event of great scientific relevance that will bring together experts from around the world to discuss the latest advances in the field of epigenetics applied to aquatic ecosystems.
The congress will be held in the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM), located on Barcelona's seafront. This event seeks to deepen our understanding of how environmental and molecular factors modulate gene expression in marine and freshwater species, with key implications for biodiversity, conservation, and response to climate change.
EPIMAR2025 will feature an extensive program including keynote addresses, research presentations, panel discussions, and practical workshops. Topics to be covered include:
- Comparative and developmental epigenetics.
- Environmental epigenetics.
- Epigenetics in aquatic resource management.
- Epigenetics, adaptation and evolutionary dynamics.
Interested researchers will have until January 19 2025 to submit your work and until March/23 to register for the conference early. This conference is a unique opportunity to connect the international scientific community and advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms that govern marine life, promoting science-based solutions to address current environmental challenges.
