UMH and UA launch the interactive comic “Explore the Fish Route: Marine Aquaculture in the Valencian Community” thanks to GVA-ThinkInAzul project

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH1) and the University of Alicante (UA1), thanks to the GVA-ThinkInAzul project coordinated by Jaume Pérez-Sánchez (IATS-CSIC1) and Carlos Valle (UA1), have launched the interactive comic Explore the Fish Route: Marine Aquaculture in the Valencian Community, an educational work created by researchers Marina Cano, Kilian Toledo and Esther Sendra. This project invites readers to discover the fascinating journey of fish from aquaculture facilities to our tables, highlighting the importance of marine aquaculture in the Valencian Community.

Through an accessible and visually attractive narrative, the comic combines illustrations with interactive elements and explanatory sections that allow to deepen in some key aspects such as the main areas where fish is farmed, the most cultivated species, and information to interpret the labeling of fish. This resource is a step towards the dissemination of culture and science of the marine world accessible to all audiences, supporting the education of our environment and promoting interest in scientific knowledge in the Valencian Community.
